Tasty Cinnamon Roll Recipe

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110-115°F)
  • 1 envelope (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, and warm milk. Add yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes or until frothy.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes or until it becomes elastic and smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1-2 hours or until it doubles in volume.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with non-stick spray.
  5. Take the dough out of the bowl and roll it out into a rectangle (about 15 x 10 inches).
  6. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread the mixture over the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border on the edges.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and pinch the edges to seal. Cut it into 12 equal pieces and arrange them in the baking dish.
