Healthy Breakfast Ragi Uttapam Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ragi flour
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped tomato
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Oil for cooking

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add ragi flour, rice flour, onion, tomato, carrot, coriander leaves, ginger, green chilli, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Gradually, add water and mix until you get a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
  3. Heat a non-stick tawa or griddle on medium heat.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter on the tawa and spread it into a circular shape.
  5. Add a few drops of oil around the edges and cook until the bottom turns golden brown.
  6. Flip the uttapam and cook the other side until it turns golden brown as well.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
