High School Softball Player Kyli Bell Impresses at USSA Showcase

Rising senior Kyli Bell showcased her talent at the USSA Stars over Tennessee Softball Tournament this past weekend. The tournament had over 20 college programs represented, and Bell's outstanding offensive performance didn't go unnoticed. Bell led her team on offense, going 8 for 11 with 2 doubles in 5 games. Congratulations Kyli on a job well done!

Recipe: Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nothing beats a classic chocolate chip cookie, and this recipe is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.


  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until well combined.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Drop rounded spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
