Healthy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg and add the applesauce, honey, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the raisins.
  6. Scoop the dough using a tablespoon and drop it onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten the dough slightly with your fingers.
  7. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
