What Are Taquitos?

Taquitos, also known as "rolled tacos," are a Mexican dish that consists of a rolled-up tortilla filled with meat or vegetables. They can be fried or baked and are often topped with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 corn tortillas
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning or make your own
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • Guacamole, sour cream and shredded cheese for toppings

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground chicken until browned. Add taco seasoning and water according to package instructions.
  3. Add salsa to the ground chicken and mix well.
  4. Add a spoonful of chicken mixture on a tortilla, top with shredded cheese and roll up tightly.
  5. Place the rolled-up tortillas in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until crispy.
  7. Serve with guacamole, sour cream, and shredded cheese on top.
