This delicious chickpea curry recipe is perfect for lunch or dinner. It's a great way to enjoy a vegan meal and get enough protein. Follow these simple instructions to cook a chickpea curry.


  • 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1/2 can of coconut milk
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat and sauté onions until soft.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander powder, paprika, turmeric, and garam masala. Cook for 30 seconds, stirring consistently.
  3. Add tomato paste, coconut milk, and chickpeas. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the chickpeas are tender and the sauce is thickened.
  5. Serve over rice or with naan bread. Enjoy!
