- 4 tablespoons of butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup of pickled red onions
- 4 slices of Dominican salami
- 4 slices of queso de freir (frying cheese)

Directions:
- Peel the green plantains and slice them into small pieces.
- Boil them in a pot of water until they are soft, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the plantains from the pot and place them in a bowl with 4 tablespoons of butter or margarine.
- Mash the plantains and butter together until you have a smooth mixture.
- In a frying pan, cook the Dominican salami and queso de freir over medium heat until they are golden brown on both sides. Remove them from the pan and set them aside.
