Creamy Tomato Soup Recipe

  • 2 cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic to the pot and cook until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, chicken or vegetable broth, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the pot.
  4. Simmer for 20-25 minutes until tomatoes are softened.
  5. Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender and blend until smooth.
  6. Return the soup to the pot and stir in the heavy cream.
  7. Simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
